I wrote weeks ago using a letter format from the MSE site complaining about the way I was sold my mortgage endowment policy from 1992. My then mortgage was with Abbey National and the endowment which is still running with Friends Provident. I found an address amongst the old paper work:-
Admin Manager
Friends Provident Abbey National Centre
55 Spring Gardens
Manchester M2 2BY
Obviously the two companies no longer have this alliance and it's possible the address is completely out of date. Any ideas who I contact now or should I still wait? Many thanks.
That address isn't Friends Provident or Abbey.
First thing to check is that you have not been time barred. Most endowments are now barred from complaints. Friends Provident started time bars in 2001 although it had to reset some in 2003 and 2004 as it didn't follow the correct rules. Theirs were mostly time barred by 2007.
If you ring FP and ask them if your endowment is time barred they will tell you. If it isn't, then you can ask them the address.
